Risk Assessment for International Construction Projects

نویسندگان

چکیده

International projects are inherently exposed to unforeseeable and complex risk scenarios. This study aimed assess identify the critical factors in international contracting projects, based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. The most compelling risks that faced by construction firms Afghanistan market determined primarily meta-analysis. According data obtained from this analysis, priorities of degree severity between each other using AHP research enhances current body knowledge about possible encountered threats for investing high-risk markets. findings may also help contractors develop strategies "to bid or no-bid decisions"

Determining Optimal Risk Assessment Model in Construction Projects (Case study: steel plant construction project)

Introduction: Identifying occupational hazards and managing occupational safety and health risks is the most important mission and responsibility of the health and safety management system in organizations and adopting coded plans to achieve this is the key to continuously improving this system and promoting it. Method: This descriptive-analytic research has been written to determine the optim...

Risk Assessment for Construction Projects Contracting Based on Unascertained Sets

This paper utilizes unascertained sets to analyze general contracting risk of construction projects. Firstly, principal component method was used to process a number of listed general contracting risk indices. The representative indices from principal component analysis process substitute for the primary indexes. Thus subjective random problem in choosing indices can be avoided. Then, risk fact...

Bayesian-network-based safety risk assessment for steel construction projects.

There are four primary accident types at steel building construction (SC) projects: falls (tumbles), object falls, object collapse, and electrocution. Several systematic safety risk assessment approaches, such as fault tree analysis (FTA) and failure mode and effect criticality analysis (FMECA), have been used to evaluate safety risks at SC projects. However, these traditional methods ineffecti...

Safety risk assessment and ranking in the construction projects with F.M.E.A and fuzzy T.O.P.S.I.S

Abstract Introduction: Construction projects are one of the most important sectors of the economy of the country, which has a high capacity for job creation. Construction projects are part of a huge and strategic set of civil engineering projects that unfortunately have a large share of work-related accidents due to lack of attention to safety. One of the most important issues that can contrib...

Dynamic Risk Assessment in Construction Projects Using Bayesian Networks

This paper presents a systemic Bayesian network (BN) based approach for dynamic risk assessment for adjacent buildings in tunnel construction. This approach consists of four steps in detail, namely, hazard analysis, BN learning and BN-based risk analysis. In the dynamic risk analysis framework, the predictive, sensitivity and diagnostic analysis techniques in the Bayesian inference are used to ...
